Directions and Parking

The UMUC office is located in the Kleber Education Center in Building 3205, room 204A.

To find our location, please take Autobahn 6 until you see a list of signs for U.S. military installations. Take the exit that the signs indicate. Continue to follow the U.S. military signs for Kleber to the installation. The Education Center is located on base across the street from the dining facility and parking is available in a large parking area across the street from Bldg 3205.

Computer Labs

The UMUC sponsored computer lab has seven computers available for student use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. The computer lab is located on the second floor of Bldg 3205 and is accessible from Mon-Fri, 0830-1630.

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

Kaiserslautern-Kleber Kaserne is an Army post on the eastern edge of Kaiserslautern. Daenner Kaserne is across the street, and Panzer Kaserne is one kilometer east. There are about 4,000 personnel on all three posts.

Lodging is not provided on Kleber Kaserne, however lodging is available at Vogelweh Inn on the Vogelweh air base about a 15 minute drive from Kleber. Dining facilities on base include a Shoppette. Additionally, a German shopping center is located across the street from Kleber Kaserne and there is a bakery, cafeteria, and a grocery store available. There is a library, play house theater, and fitness center located on Kleber Kaserne.
