Directions and Parking

The UMUC office is located in the the Ghedi Education Center in Building 120.

To find our location, once on the Ghedi Air Base, after you pass through the inspection area, please follow the main road straight through the first stop sign. Take a left at the driveway with the MUNSS sign on the lawn (the first green building on the left). The UMUC office is located on the first floor of Bldg 120, the last office on the right.

Computer Labs

UMUC does not provide a computer lab at this location. However, a computer lab is available through the Ghedi Education Center. Please check with the education center staff for hours and details.

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

The small Ghedi Air Base is conjoined with the Italian air base and provides equipment and munitions support. There is no lodging available on base, and limited dining facilities to include a Shoppette and Italian Mensa (chow hall). A library is available on base, as well as a fitness facility.

The municipality of Ghedi is located within the city of Brescia, located centrally in the northern region of Italy, between Milan and Vincenza. The Ghedi air base is about a 20 minute drive from Brescia citry center, where there are numerous dining and entertainment options. Lodging near base is available in the town of Montichiari, about a 10 minute drive from Lago di Garda (lake Garda), one of largest lakes in Italy and a European nautical tourist attraction.
