Quantitative Methods for Business. Course Description: Peter Drucker once described the decision-making process as the heart and soul of today's organization. As we enter the next century, change will occur with greater rapidity, and the amount of information for the decision maker to digest and understand will increase exponentially. How do we cope with these changes? How do we make more decisions in the face of fast paced change? These are some of the questions this course hopes to answer. Course Objectives:
Course Policies: There will be a mid-term and a final examination for this course. Each exam will constitute 50% of the total grade. The mid-term will fall on the last class session of week four and will consist of all readings and lectures to date. The final exam will fall on the last day of class of week eight, and will consist of all readings and lectures from the mid-term exam. The grading scale is as follows: A = 100 - 90 B = 89 - 80 C = 79 - 70 F = 69 - Below. Reading Assignments: Week 1. Chapters 1 & 4. Week 2. Chapters 5 & 6. Week 3. Chapters 7 & 9. Week 4.
